Another great Sunday!  Now the other day I had someone ask if anybody has given me trouble by posting these numbers for being "about the numbers and not the souls".  I kind of figured I didn't really need to spend much time explaining this but let me just clear it up if there's any confusion....church is NOT all about numbers.  It's about the lives being changed.  The more people that cross through the door, the more opportunities we have to help share the love of Christ and the Gospel.  So...now that I've gotten that out of the way...here is the total for today:

Grace Numbers 2/26/06

Wow. Just four more weeks until our first Sunday in the new digs.  I really don't know if our team will have any idea what to do with themselves when everything is set up every week.  I'm sure we'll find something to do. :)  Seems like people are getting pretty interested in our church since the move is getting closer.  You can check the attendance trend in the category labeled Grace by the Numbers.  I'll break it out specifically when I get the info.  But I did sneak a peek at this weeks attendance.

• 481 total in attendance this week.

This was a pretty cool week during our "I Don't" series on marriage and dating.  Tim and his wife Cathy shared the stage to talk about the really popular topic of Communication.  They did a great job making a seemingly boring/predictable topic more exciting and interesting.  We also had a great skit that really set the table for the sermon.  Great job to all involved!

Wooah!!!  Lots of people gone this week.  I know out of my family of 5, I was the only one in attendance due to the flu.  Only 6 short weeks away from the move.

Grace Numbers 2/5/06

There are people who refuse to visit a church simply because it meets in a school.  There's just something about a building to many folks that believe a church is about bricks and mortar.  No matter how much you can explain to a person that the church is the people not the building, there are those who just can't get past that. 

Lately at Grace we've been experiencing an influx of people visiting as they drive past our building. We sent out Christmas mailers back in December and have seen many folks crossing our doors from that.  During the next couple of months I thought I'd post our weekly attendance if any of you are curious about the process and effect a building project can possibly have on bringing folks through the doors.  We'd been averaging about 380-400 since October.  Here's today's attendance:
