The title of this post is a quote from someone I was talking to about blogging. I thought about that and wondered about why I blog. Why do others blog and is this blogging thing just a fad? Here are my reasons and likes for blogging:
- I love being able to share what's going on in my life with friends and family around the world without sending letters. When people want to know more or keep in touch I just say, "Google Babulife".
- I love the networking aspect. I've met several fellow worship leaders and laborers through blogging. New ideas, great conversations and online friendships have developed simply because I have a blog and dropped a comment on someone's site.
- I love to write. When I started this blog I spent a lot of time mulling over a post...nowadays, I just put something out there without a lot of mulling.
- Ministry team building. I like how blogging gives people on the teams I work with at church a glimpse of my thoughts, life and personality.
So in my opinion, blogging isn't stupid. It's only as stupid as the stupid person who says it's stupid. (Was that stupid?)
What are your likes and dislikes about blogging?
