Wow. That's all I feel I can say about what happened today. We had the LIFE drama and 41 folks
submitted a connect card indicating that they had trusted in Jesus Christ as savior this morning during the services. Awesome.
Here's a quick rundown on some facts from this morning's drama along with some HUGE thanks:
- 1,049 people in attendance
- 41 people indicated that they trusted in Jesus Christ on the Connect Card.
- 4 people indicated that they were considering accepting Christ.
- 300 people indicated they were already believers.
- Actors - Kim, Zach and Brad (soakie) did amazing. Thank you guys so much for spending so much time learning your lines and honing your craft over these past couple of months. God used you all in a HUGE way today.
- Lighting - Keith spent at least 10 hours this week at church getting the lighting down to perfection...it showed. It was amazing. Thank you also to Brian for stepping in to help. It was incredible.
- Audio - Darryl and Todd honed the transitions between the music and sound effects. I don't know how you did it. Awesome job!
- Video - Doog...as always brought it. Thank you.
- Stage - Marie, Addie, Jonathan and Jason...you all stepped it up this week under a lot of pressure. Thanks also to Marie for coordinating the food. It was fabulous!
- Lisa - Wow. Way to go. The Lord was truly glorified today and you did a fantastic job leading the team there. Thank you for giving so much to the Lord and sacrificing so much time to make this happen. It was worth the sweat and labor.
- Alex - Awesome job helping support Lisa and the acting crew. Thank you so much!
I had some folks ask if we could make the play available on DVD to which I had to reply, "I don't know". It wasn't a homegrown script so we'd have to get permission. We'll see what we can come up with.
I must also reveal that my wife Addie was the Emily blogger over at LifeofEmily.com. She did an amazing job creating some buzz for this drama. Hopefully for those of you who followed the blog before the play it created a little familiarity and uniqueness to the drama. She did an awesome job. Thank you Addie! Be sure to check out the final post here. Addie combed through the script crafting some excellent posts just giving hints and glimpses into what would transpire during the drama. My wife has got some mad writing talent.
Music - We had another "unplugged" session today with only two acoustic guitars and three vocals. I think it went pretty well. I will say that I am ready to ROCK next week! Return of Thunderfoot Jon. Here's our set list. As always, click the title to purchase on iTunes:
- Filled With Your Glory by Starfield
- You Never Let Go by Matt Redman
- Everlasting God by Brenton Brown
- I Can Only Imagine (at the conclusion of the play) by MercyMe
- Here I am to Worship by Tim Hughes
I hope you all enjoyed it and were impacted greatly.
