Thanks for the comments and help from my post the night before. I struggled quite a bit with the vocals but made it. I got up at 5 a.m. and downed some luke-warm tea and prayer. Days like these are good reminders that worship leaders are simply God's vessels. Relying on your own skills and abilities is never enough to lead people to worship.
This week we had the Lynnora on violin again...have I said how much I love when she plays? We had a couple of unique sounds this week with some auxiliary percussion that Thunderfoot Jon brought in. Jon and Chris worked out a bit of recording Thursday night on the keys that came off pretty good. Those congas on Breathe were actually sampled.
Here's our worship setlist. Don't forget you can purchase them on iTunes by clicking the title:
- Lord Most High by Dave Leubben (sorry not on iTunes)
- Come Thou Fount by Grace worship...(you can purchase a Crowder version by clicking the title)
- Breathe by Christy Nockels
- Here is Our King by David Crowder
- I Stand Amazed (How Marvelous) by Chris tomlin
We had a video hiccup in the first service that created an awkward pause between the last song and Tim's message. My bad for not doing a run through with each team. We've lost the "huddle" before our services and need to get it back. So it's on this week.
Next week we go acoustic as Thunderfoot is taking a break. I've been encouraging him to pick two weeks to break since he's been going at it since March. Have fun at Disney World Jon!
Be sure to check out the Worship Community for worship confessionals from other worship leaders around the globe.
