Our fearless leader returned with a one shot message this week on the Bible. We're not talking a lesson on the history of the book, but a message that many of us needed to hear as an encouragement to get our spiritual nourishment through personal Bible study. Many times "spiritually mature believers" get in a rut feeling as though the church's only purpose is to feed and nourish mature believers (please note I said only purpose) when we actually need to be feeding ourselves. I'm hoping Tim's message convicted others as it did me to get alone with God more intentionally to study and pray. Give it a listen here.
Music was fun again this week. I love the vibe we've got right now in our congregation. To see so many new folks excited about singing and pumped about being a part of the worship. From the stage, it's exhilarating to be a part of. Brad and Sam rocked on the Big Daddy Weave version of Let it Rise. Can't get that tune out of my head today! That song rocked! Brad was killer on the vocals of King once again. As I've said before, anything Tree63 will be sung by Soakie. Also need to note the extra work our lighting team did this week. They pushed a little and came up with some pretty exciting lighting transitions. The room is their canvass and their desire is to help connect the congregation visually in worshipping God. Great job guys!
