Worship Recap: 9/5/10

 

This week at Grace we played our worship using two acoustic guitars, one violin and 3 vocals. I must admit, I LOVE when we can strip down the layers of the music we typically do and play them acoustically. It's a challenge because you have to rethink the songs and recreate dynamics in a completely different way.  You also have to be a little more "spot on" with pitch etc. 

HUGE thanks to Sam and Deanna Albertson for letting God use them. They shared their story of how Financial Peace University impacted their lives and strengthened their marriage. Took TONS of courage to share. They are an AMAZING, faithful family at Grace. Thank you guys for sharing! 

Also gotta say Josh did a fantastic job delivering a message about "The Bottom Line on Health". When we decided this was a topic that needed to be addressed, we weren't sure exactly how we would...and Josh did awesome!

The Power of Love

This past weekend during services at Grace, we received an online Connect Card from our Live Stream page. I'm sharing it with our folks at Grace to encourage each of us that you are loving each other...and people notice.  There's nothing more powerful than the expression of love in action...not just the words.  Frequently we say, "I'm praying for you" or "We love you".  The intentions behind those comments are good, and hearing them are good things, but many times we check the box off and let it lay with the words.  Kudos to the people of Grace for living out their faith.  Here's the note:

"I want to Thank the Grace family for all the prayers they have given my family. I didn't know that the power of prayer was so amazing but without the prayers I don't know where we would be. Grace has given my family hope, faith and love. I have never felt such warmth in a church. Thank you for every thing. We are no longer attending Grace because we have moved to Tennessee and we are now in search of a new church. So please continue to pray for my family. Thank you." - Toni Kotzur
