For years, we've explored, prayed for and tried to find someone who could help us fulfill the desire to consistently create a visual change on our stage for services at Grace. We've had people volunteer periodically with no success of keeping them in a "Set Design" role. Until this past year...
When Todd Konitzer came to the church I discovered his passion to express creatively his love for the Lord through various artforms along with his sense of humor and love of life (as reflected by this pic of him). Video...stage design...brainstorming creative elements in a service...and recently painting. During our services at Grace on Easter weekend Todd came through...having NEVER painted an artistic picture in his life...and helped create a moment that connected people to Christ. While Todd's stage designs have impressed me...it's been his sincere desire and passion to follow God's leading through open doors...without caving in to whatever fears he may have that impress me even more. If God opens a door, Todd's always willing to follow...if the door closes...he's always willing to try opening the next instead of sitting back down never attempting to turn the knob on another. Todd is truly another reason I LOVE serving and leading the Weekend Service Team at Grace Church.
Be sure to check out the video below of Todd painting as the worship team led "Manifesto" by The City Harmonic (btw, last week's Super Cool Stacey can be heard on bagpipes) on Easter and tell him he's SUPER COOL!!!
