Grace Microcast Notes: The Invitation

This is it Gracers!  The final three days before our big Christmas services at Grace Church on December 21.   This week Tim and I talk about the final days leading up to the close of "The Invitation" series along with an interview with two fellas from Grace.  One, Danny, recently invited his friend John to church and personally saw John's life changed by God.  If you're needing a final encouragement to build up that final courage to ask someone to come this Sunday...give this podcast a listen.

Grace Microcast Notes - 8/20/08

Tim and I were back this week after a month of vacations and schedule conflicts.  This week Tim had the opportunity to share the story of Bill Vail.  Bill is a member of Grace for about 5 years.  He's had an incredibly hard life. Everything from his mother being taken from him at an early age, facing a debilitating disease and fighting depression and bitterness his entire life.  Bill will be sharing a snippet of his story this Sunday during our services as we wrap up the current series "The Enemy Within".  You won't want to miss it.

Grace Microcast Notes - 7/30/08

This week on the microcast I sat down with Lynnora Weast.  It's bittersweet for me to hear her story and to hear how God is moving her to the mission field in Central Asia.  Lynnora has been our resident violin player over the past year and a half on the worship team.  We're so happy to see her following God's lead, but sad to know her violin will not be gracing the stage.  Thanks Lynnora for your incredible heart and your desire to live life pursuing God's plan and will.

Grace Microcast Notes - 7/23/08

Tim was back in the hot seat today after a few weeks of vacation.  We had a chance to catch up on the closing of the "Reach" series along with a brief discussion about the upcoming series beginning Sunday called "The Enemy Within".  It's nice having a consummate professional speaker in the chair across from you.

This week on the Microcast Kevin Allen had a fantastic interview with our guest speaker from last Sunday.  Matthew Ellison took time to go a little deeper with how he came to be a part of 1615.org.  Kevin had some great questions about their objectives with Grace Church's missions strategy.  You won't get this level of depth from anywhere else folks.  Good stuff.

After a week off we're back with another Grace microcast.  This week features a conversation with Youth Pastor Jim Williams.  I also sat down with Jonathan Nebel who has been a long time youth member for about 7 years.  Great conversation about navigating a youth group through a church-wide growth spurt.  Oh yeah...almost forgot...you will hear a plea from me hoping that people who listen to the cast will email or phone us with some feedback. Grace Microcast - DFTL Wrap Up/Interview with a Former PLO Sniper

This week on the Grace microcast we wrapped up the three week series called "Don't Forget the Lyrics" on Psalm 119. You'll hear who won the iPod Nano drawing along with how this little mini-series was hatched.

On July 6 we'll kick off another three week series on missions (worldwide and backyardwide). My Dad will be coming to speak to the church about reaching the Muslim world. It's not often you get to hear from a former PLO sniper about his story of change and redemption. As a "sneak peak" the KCMO 710 news director, Kevin Patrick, interviewed my dad on the phone about his ministry and upcoming book called "Once an Arafat Man". It's about half-way thru the podcast.
